History

The National Union of Pakistani Students & Alumni (Nupsa) is an umbrella organisation representing the UK university students & alumni of Pakistani heritage. Nupsa was created in 2007 to provide a unifying voice for students with Pakistani heritage (whether home-grown or international) to represent their true nature of law-abiding, friendly and cultured students and citizens.

Unfortunately Pakistan has been represented in the news particularly negatively in the recent past with issues such as assassinations, military rule, natural disasters, sporting controversies, economic meltdown, terrorism, sporadic suicide bombings, and in some localities even civil war.

However, Pakistan is a country that has almost every type of natural resource imaginable: agricultural, energy and raw manufacturing resources. Pakistanis are a people that are immensely talented, determined, proud of their heritage and diversity.
Nupsa therefore aims to promote the young, educated, and gifted - the future of a country with so much potential and promise.
